The short version
Becifo Active is a golf scoring and shot-recording app published by Sophia Sanders ("we", "us"). It works offline and keeps everything on your device: your bag, your hand-drawn courses, your rounds and your statistics. We have no user accounts. We run no servers that receive your data. We use no advertising, analytics or tracking tools.
Bottom line: we can't see, sell or share your golf data, because it never reaches us.
What you create in the app
The app only holds what you enter or draw yourself:
- Your bag: each club's name, its two- or three-character symbol, its loft (7° to 64°) and the nominal distance you enter.
- Your courses: course and hole names, par values, tee positions, and the shapes you draw for greens, water and bunkers.
- Your rounds: where you tap to mark each shot on the hole drawing, the club you used, the distances and scores calculated from those taps, and any notes or manual corrections you add.
- Derived statistics: average distances per club, results per hole and other performance summaries. The app calculates these on your device from your own rounds.
Distances come from your taps on a drawing you made, not from GPS. The app doesn't need to know where you physically are.
Where it's stored and how to delete it

Your data stays there until you delete it. You can delete individual rounds, courses or clubs in the app. To remove everything at once, uninstall Becifo Active. Your phone's operating system may include the app's data in your own device backups (for example iCloud or Google device backup). Those backups are controlled by your platform account and its privacy terms, not by us.
What we never collect
- No name, email, phone number or account credentials, because the app has no sign-up.
- No location or GPS data.
- No contacts, photos you haven't chosen to save, or microphone or camera input.
- No advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking or behavioural profiling.
- No analytics events or crash-reporting SDKs sending data to us.
- No sale or rental of personal information, ever.
Apple's App Store and Google Play may give us aggregated, anonymised download or crash statistics under their own policies. We can't link that information to you or to your golf data.
Exports and sharing
You can export a round as an image or as plain text. Exports are created on your device and only leave it when you choose to send them, using your device's standard share sheet or by saving to your photos or files. After that, the app or person you send them to handles them under their own terms. We never receive a copy.
Device permissions
Becifo Active asks for as few permissions as possible. If you save an exported image to your photo library, your device may ask you to allow adding photos. This permission is only used to save the image you just exported. The app doesn't read your existing photos. You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device settings, and the rest of the app will keep working.
Children
The app isn't aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we don't knowingly hold any children's data. Parents can review or delete anything stored in the app on their child's device.
Changes and contact
If a future version changes how data is handled (for example by adding optional cloud sync), we'll update this policy and its effective date before the change takes effect. Where the law requires it, we'll also ask for your consent in the app. Your rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA still apply. Because we hold no data about you, most requests can be completed directly on your device.
